Chrysanthemum Morgan, known botanically as Chrysanthemum morifolium ‘Yomorgan’ PBR, is a specially bred ornamental mum valued for its rich color, compact growth, and long-lasting autumn flowering. This variety produces double, cushion-shaped blooms with tightly layered petals. The flowers in this variety stand out because of their deep magenta to purple-pink petals surrounding a bright yellow central disc, creating a warm and vivid contrast that remains attractive throughout the blooming period.

The plant has a naturally bushy and rounded habit, making it ideal for garden beds, borders, and decorative containers. Its foliage is medium green, slightly lobed, and forms a dense base that supports abundant flowering. Typically, the plant reaches a height of 20–40 cm, depending on climate and care.

Chrysanthemum Morgan thrives best in full sunlight, though it can tolerate light shade. It prefers well-drained, fertile soil and moderate watering. When grown with regular pinching and shaping, it develops a fuller form with more flower heads. One of its most notable strengths is its ability to bloom late into the season, adding color when most summer flowers have faded.

The PBR status (Plant Breeders’ Rights) indicates that it is a protected cultivar, recognized for its stable characteristics such as uniform blooming, consistent color, strong stems, and high flower density. These qualities make it a popular choice for home gardens, nurseries, and seasonal landscape designs. Its resilience in cooler weather and its vibrant appearance make Chrysanthemum Morgan a dependable autumn highlight in many ornamental displays.
